Jamie Lane is the artist project of James Day, an upcoming Gold Coast singer-songwriter & producer. His vision incorporates a deep skillset in sound design together with a unique vocal style & song writing ability; to elevate sound to a seamlessly ethereal & naturalistic expressivity. Drawing from many different influences from jazz and world music to R&B and electronic, this eccentric blend succeeds in pushing the envelope of contemporary standards into the next epoch of alternative music.
Jamie has previously featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds, Chillige Basse and Viral 50 in Canada and France with his breakout single Sink. He has since been profiled in reputable local publications such as Sniffers, Beat Magazine and Pilerats, curated store music for national brand Gelato Messina and aired on triple j and Unearthed. Last year’s single Sweet/bitter gained over 100,000 streams on Spotify in 2020.
